Filled Mo-PP
Færch Plast is using the plastic filled Mo-PP to an increasing extent where 15 per cent of the oil-based raw materials for producing PP are replaced with talcum, which makes the packaging more environmentally friendly and more stable.
Stability: The additional of talcum makes the produced items stiffer. This makes it possible to reduce film thickness without affecting the stability of the packaging. The thinner the film, the fewer the raw materials used.
Environment: The amount of CO2 per produced tray is lower than in trays made from ordinary PP.
Presentation: Mo-PP packaging has a matt, uniform appearance. This improves the presentation of meat in refrigerated counters. The packaging also has very vertical sides so it can be closely packed in refrigerated counters. This avoids wasted space and optimises presentation.
