Green production

Energy and the environment are key areas at each Færch Plast factory where technical equipment and personnel constantly monitor the machinery’s energy consumption. Groundwater is used to cool the machines and equipment, and a heat pump ensures that surplus heat is reused to heat the company’s premises and storage facilities as well as those of neighbouring businesses.
 
One of stated objectives is to be fully supplied by renewable energy from hydro electric and wind power in 2013. We produce exclusively in mono materials, which gives use a high level of utilisation of raw materials and the ability to recycle the trays. We have cut our energy consumption by a third since 1996. ​
